Michael Vallis, PhD
Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor

According to recent research, type 2 diabetes is increasing at an alarming rate. This disease not only presents physical challenges, but also psychological and social ones that can impact some patients and their family members on a day-to-day basis. In this segment, Dr. Michael Vallis educates us about the DAWN2TM study – recent data that offers a 360-degree view of the psychosocial burdens of living with the condition for some patients, family members and the medical community; and how it’s creating a springboard for international conversation to improve diabetes outcomes.
