Val spent the first 12 years of her career being so tired she can hardly remember any of it! Getting up at 3:30am for a top-rated morning radio show in Southwestern Ontario, however, got her noticed which led to a job offer to host a new morning show in Vancouver in 2000. Same brutal schedule, but no snow! By 2003, she’d had enough of the sleepless nights and moved to mid-days to host a fun and provocative radio talk show. Throughout her career she’s been seen doing the weather and hosting various TV shows as well as acting in movies, television series and commercials in Canada and the U.S.. When her daughter, Solana, came as a blessing in February 2009, Val took some important time off to stay at home with her and in early 2010, she and her husband Steve decided to move back to Ontario to be closer to family.
Now, she’s thrilled to be back to doing what she loves – talking to interesting people and learning new things! Val is currently hosting Daytime Toronto with well-known designer, Glenn Dixon, weekdays on Rogers TV and appears in several television commercials at any given time.
