JULIE EDELMAN

Julie is a well-known multi-media lifestyle personality and the first ‘out of the broom closet’ Accidental Housewife. Her journey began on Madison Avenue as an advertising executive and detoured to the Mop ‘n Go Aisle when she became a wife and mother. Along the way she replaced doing lunch with doing diapers ‘n dishes and using a plunger vs. a microphone to ‘clear the air’ ‘n toilet or sink. Thus, a need was born to balance whom she was with what she had unexpectedly become: a housewife. And so her crusade began to help she and millions like her keep health inspectors away, her family fed and to avoid falling in the toilet when the seat was left up by her hubs and son on the family throne.

Today Julie is the go-to gal for easy, time, money and energy saving tips that maintain a home, family and manicure. And, though her solutions and tips cause Martha, Heloise and Ty to cringe, she brings a sense of calm, humor and camaraderie to millions like her who live on what she lovingly calls Hysteria Lane.

Julie appears regularly on the Today Show with Kathie Lee ‘n Hoda, The Doctors and of course with her gal pal Rachael Ray whom Rach refers to as her “Domestic Enough Guru”! Julie is a New York Times best-selling author of The Accidental Housewife: How to Overcome Housekeeping Hysteria One Task at a Time and penned a second book “The Ultimate Accidental Housewife” –Your Guide to a Clean Enough House’ which is a ‘must have’ home-keeping compendium. In addition to her television appearances she is quoted regularly in InStyle, Real Simple, and Family Circle. Julie contributes to Scholastic’s Parent & Child, and Foxnews.com; as well as her own site, www.juliestips.com and serves as a spokesperson for Habitat for Humanity hosting national women build events annually.

Julie’s informative yet fun gal next door style has made her the new voice of today’s Mom and homemaker. This platform offers Julie the opportunity to help empower women to believe that they are doing the best they can and that their individual best is more than good enough and not measured by how others around us whether it’s their BFF or mom handle everyday life.

Julie is a graduate of Duke University, studied at Oxford and lives with her soon to be college bound son (sob, sob) in the Garden State (Exit 168 on the Parkway!). It is there that she continues to maintain her home, sanity and manicure with the appropriate day-part latte or libation wearing her fashionable ‘n functional rubber gloves.
